Plant pot has no drainage holes.

I just received a moth orchid from Proplants. It came in a little metal bucket that has no drainage holes. There is no plastic insert inside the pot. The watering directions say to water 1/4 cup every 12 to 15 days. The watering directions on this site and many others say to pour water around the plant and let it drain out. Obviously, I can't do that with a plant in a container with no holes. I am wondering if I should repot it in a container that has drainage holes.

Yes, I recommend that you repot it into a container with drainage holes.

If the potting mix seems relatively new (moss turns green over time, bark tends to have fertilizer salts build up over time), and if the roots seem healthy (white and firm) then you could instead just drill a hole in the bottom.

You can drill a hole through the bucket with a standard metal drill.
I frequent garage sales and thrift shops for pretty ceramic bowls and cups. I use a diamond bit to drill holes in these and get pretty containers for my orchids for very little money. Just keep the surface you are drilling wet and remember to use safety glasses in both operations.
